Brenda has been working in the mortgage industry in the Gunnison Valley since 2013, with a lifelong background in the lending industry.

As the spouse of a fifth-generation Gunnison native, Brenda’s mission is to continue making housing both affordable and attainable in the community. She served on the Board of Directors for the Valley Housing Fund, whose mission is to retain the essential workforce in the Gunnison Valley. Additionally, Brenda has collaborated closely with the Gunnison Valley Housing Authority on deed-restricted property sales, gaining expertise in approving buyers based on their individual income levels. She is also knowledgeable in CHFA loans, which offer down payment assistance through Colorado State Funding.

To support local heroes, Brenda participates in the Giving to Heroes program, which provides lender credits to help with closing costs. Since obtaining her mortgage license in March 2021, she has personally contributed over $38,000 (through December 2024) through this program to give back to law enforcement, firefighters/first responders, military/veterans, medical providers, and teachers. It’s her way of saying thanks to all who serve and protect the community.

Brenda also donates her time, money, and efforts to support Gunnison Cattlemen’s Days, local chapters of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, NRA, Gunnison Valley Animal Welfare League, the American Legion Post 54, and Rocky Mountain Total Girls Softball. In total, she is proud to have given over $53,000 back to the local community (through December 2024).

Having guided numerous first-time homebuyers through the application process to the closing table, Brenda ensures a smooth and stress-free experience, providing support until the final page is signed. She also has experience working for a local title company, giving her a thorough understanding of title requirements.

When Brenda isn’t working, she enjoys working in her yard, riding her horse, camping, fishing, and participating in any outdoor activity in the beautiful place she calls home.
